Privacy or Technology
I have given up some of my privacy on the Internet for the convenience of getting things done faster and quicker. I know some of the information could be tracked back to me, but I feel I am not causing any harm or doing anything illegal so if they did find my information they would not find out anything interesting or worthwhile and just move on to someone else. All this is being said as if there was someone tracking me, but do not feel as if there is. I have given up my privacy by using loyalty cards, but I do not feel it has an impact on me. The things that I buy are ordinary everyday things that people need. If they wanted to try to exploit me, they would not be able to because there is nothing that I buy that would embarrass me. I do not mind if they were to recommend coupons, savings, or promotions to me based on the things that I buy. I find that this would be very useful and beneficial to myself. I am sure not everyone agrees, and there are very personal things that they buy and do not want anyone to know, so they hide it the best way they can. They cram it next to all the other items in hopes that the cashier wont read what it is, and the bagger wont notice it either and they even go further to hide it from everyone else. This does not pertain to me. I have given up my privacy for the convenience of a customer loyalty card.
